Dr Gail Allsopp is the Clinical Policy lead for the Royal College of General Practitioners, a GP in Derbyshire and an Associate Professor of Primary Care at Nottingham University, where she leads on careers and focuses her research on both near peer education and the primary care workforce. She co-founded the GP Academy and HUGG (a longitudinal support network for primary care clinicians), both aiming to improve recruitment and retention of GPs regionally; and as an actor, writes passionately about the use of theatre and the health humanities within medicine.
